The profession of tax consultancy is largely governed by the subsequent legal regulations: German Law on Tax Consultancy ("Steuerberatungsgesetz" - StBerG), Implementing Ordinance ("Durchführungsverordnung zum Steuerberatungsgesetz" - DVStB), The Code of the Tax Consultant's Profession ("Berufsordnung" - BOStB), and the Ordinance on Tax Consultancy Fees ("Steuerberatergebührenverordnung" - StBGebV).

The regulations governing the profession are available for review from the Federal Chamber of Tax Consultants "Bundessteuerberaterkammer" (www.bstbk.de).

On March 21, 2003, Christiane Breiden was appointed as a Tax Consultant by the Chamber of Tax Consultants "Steuerberaterkammer" in Düsseldorf.
